Tsakiris Chips are made exclusively from carefully selected, 100% natural potatoes which are fried in vegetable oil. They are produced and packaged in state of the art installations in Atalanti, Fthiotida which are certified under ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 and operate in accordance with the strictest health provisions and requirements.

We aim to use mainly Greek raw materials as their flavour and quality is excellent. If we cannot source sufficient raw materials to cover production then, and only then, we use raw materials from other European countries.

Like all foods, snacks can be part of a balanced diet. Snacks are delicious and readily available, and often combined with everyday entertainment and fun moments. They should be consumed in moderation and as part of a balanced daily routine that includes exercise.

The UK guidelines for healthy eating show that snacks can be part of an overall balanced diet when consumed in moderation. It is generally accepted that 8-10% of our calories can come from snacks. As the acceptable daily calorie intake for an adult is 2000 calories, this 8-10% corresponds to 160-200 calories. For example, a pack (25g) of Tsakiris Classic Salt potato chips contains 130 calories.

Potato chips do not contain preservatives. They are made from 100% natural potatoes and all the additives (salt, oregano or flavourings) used are listed on the packaging.

From 25 November 2005, any allergenic ingredients must be indicated on the labelling of prepacked food. Food labelling should clearly show which ingredients have been classified as potential allergens. When allergens are part of the ingredients of a product, they should be listed on the label as part of the ingredients and/or separately. Where allergens are used, they must be clearly indicated in bold colours on the list of ingredients. It should be noted that the words “may contain traces of …” on the list of ingredients relate to allergens which are not listed as a ingredients, but which may be present as traces, due to their use in other products produced on the same production line. Tip: Always check the list of ingredients on any food you buy before eating it.

The shelf life of Tsakiris products is shown on the package and is four months from the date of production.
